Went to Mette 's for dinner with a group of friends because of the good reviews and beautiful photos of the food and ordered the 6-course dinner. But it was rea... read more Went to Mette 's for dinner with a group of friends because of the good reviews and beautiful photos of the food and ordered the 6-course dinner. But it was really disappointing. The smoked salmon had little flavor and blini was too dark and dry. The fish was just undercooked. The tournedos didn 't have much flavor. One person was vegetarian and those dishes were really minimalist and, with the exception of the main course, a mockery. The dessert and cheese board were delicious. There was also plenty of fresh bread that was replenished. Drinks were also okay. The website advertises that they are 'immediately looking for a sous chef ' and it certainly seems that there is someone missing in the kitchen who can take care of the finer points. It also took quite a while even though the restaurant was not full. Finally, there was a very loud group present that regularly drowned out the conversations at our table. We indicated to the waiter that we were bothered by the noise and that the vegetarian menu was not OK. Nothing was done about either of them.

Have eaten here a number of times now and have always been satisfied. Now a table where we could have a good look into the kitchen. Owner chef Carel Alberts was busy again. Unfortunately, it was unhygienic, he had his finger in his ear and immediately touched the products again, as well as a stain on a plate, some mouth fluid on the cloth and thus cleaning the plate and decorating it with products. Thirdly, he was seen licking the spatulas and using them again. We're done with it.
