Contribute FeedbackDairy Queen in Lindstrom has sparked diverse customer experiences, echoing a blend of frustration and satisfaction. While some patrons lamented long wait times, incorrect orders, and disorganized service, others celebrated quick, friendly interactions and enjoyable food. Reports of chaotic staff behavior and unclean dining areas contrasted sharply with mentions of courteous employees delivering delicious meals. Despite the inconsistencies, loyal customers appreciate the restaurant's family-friendly atmosphere and accessible pricing. Diners walking in may encounter significant wait times or mysterious menu shortages, but those who strike gold with timely service and delicious treats may find their visit worthwhile.
This was the worst service we have ever experienced at this restaurant. All of the high school employees who were supposed to be cooking decided to take a break at the same time. They informed customers that the kitchen was closed and then gathered with a group of friends who had taken over a corner booth. Some of the employees even went outside to skateboard. This left only one girl to handle drive-thru and dining room orders. Despite the kitchen being closed, all of these kids managed to come out with their food and refill their drinks without paying attention to any customers. In my opinion, at least one responsible adult should be present to hold these employees accountable. Overall, it was a frustrating experience.
After waiting 5-10 minutes in the drive-thru for someone to take our order, it took another 10 minutes to receive our food, which was incorrect. Another 5 minutes passed before we could leave the drive-thru. My sister found out her chicken sandwich was just two chicken strips on bread. We have been going to Dairy Queen in Lindstrom for years and have never experienced such poor service.
I never leave bad reviews and I realize the service industry has been hit hard. They?re not understaffed here, they?re just insanely disorganized! We waited over 5 minutes to even be acknowledged at the counter and 2 guests before us walked out. Wehave a simple order and it?s been 15 minutes and no food or ice cream in sight yet. There?s more workers socializing withfriends than actually working. Meanwhile there?s food getting cold in the warmers for other guests before us still waiting fortheir food to be handed to them. Edited: 48 minutes later we asked for a refund and left without our food because they lost it.
Waiting 45 minutes for two chili cheese dogs and a blizzard on a Tuesday afternoon is absolutely ridiculous. It's even worse when the blizzard is sent out 20 minutes before the food arrives, causing it to melt all over the car. By the time I got home (just a block away), the blizzard was completely melted. I work in the food industry, so I understand the challenges of being short-staffed. However, I have managed a full restaurant with just one cook and still managed to get customers out the door within 45 minutes. This is not just a short-staffing issue, it ultimately falls on the owner. Owners need to be present, pay fair wages, and create a positive work environment to avoid these daily issues. Thank you!
I was hesitant to write a review as I know the service industry has taken quite the hit but our experience on Sunday was unacceptable. We had gone inside to order lunch, there 5 girls working. My husband and I were standing at that counter for 10minutes and weren't even acknowledged. As the line started to grow in the lobby we thought we will eventually be noticed. NOPE!We walked out. A simple I'll be with you in a minute. would have been all that was needed. It is clear this location needsretraining. During covid most places just had the drive thru and didn't have to worry about inside but with things going back tonormal the staff has no idea how to engage and manage orders.
