The food is always good, the service is attentive and quick. It is clean and the atmosphere is so calming being on the water with a nice view. I always enjoy it there. Have been going there for years.
Really disappointed with my evening at Bayvue. My boyfriend and I had reservations at 8pm and were not seated until 8:30. We were clearly the youngest ones there and were treated as children although were both in our mid twenties. This is not an excuse to treat us poorly. He did not like his food. His shrimp was chewy and had no flavor, the flounder was soaked in butter and garlic, which was not advertised on the menu. My salmon was over cooked and dry. To top it off, the ladies room toilets would not flush. When I alerted the hostess of the problem she told me to “wait for the toilets to fill up and then try to flush.” Just disgusting. Would not go back nor recommend to a friend.
Wonderful Evening while introducing and Out of Town Friend to the Great South Bay....
Our experience at BayVue was great! Food and ambience were terrific service from our waiter John was exceptional! I’d be happy to go back again tomorrow!
Everyone is very nice. The views are beautiful and the food delicious. We were pleasantly surprised, they had a band the night we were there that was terrific!
Bay Vue offers a picturesque dining experience on the water, ideal for summer visits. Guests appreciate the lively atmosphere, with light music enhancing the ambiance. However, the service is often criticized for being understaffed and harried, resulting in slow drink delivery and incorrect food orders. While some dishes, like the lobster rolls, receive praise for freshness, others, such as calamari and seafood salads, fall short of expectations. The views are stunning, but issues with wait times and food quality may overshadow the positives. Overall, while some patrons enjoy their experiences, frustrations with service and food consistency lead to mixed reviews.

Bay us is a great place to go relax and have a great meal with friends.
The good was outstanding as was the service, combined with the atmosphere on the water, perfect way to dine.
Service was very slow. Food was just ok but will give it another try in the future.
Was a lovely experience, service was good. Food delicious and was not rushed.
This restaurant was just right for our Sunday brunch with friends. The food was excellent—fresh and plentiful—and everyone who tried the Lobster Rolls loved them. While the prices were a bit on the higher side, they included a Bloody Mary or Mimosa, which made it feel more balanced. It was lovely to sit in the central area on a warm September day, though there were a few bees, which is hard to avoid. I would definitely come back.

I had a craving for crab cakes and was looking forward to getting them from this restaurant, as I usually do. However, today I discovered there was cheese in the crab cake batter, which was a big disappointment for me since I absolutely dislike cheese. This should definitely be mentioned on the menu so that customers can make an informed choice. Additionally, the calamari I ordered was rubbery. Based on this experience, I think I'll skip this place in the future.
This is one of my favorite outdoor spots on the Island. I really enjoy the bartenders here, especially those on the rooftop. They craft incredible margaritas, which keeps me coming back every time. My only complaint is that the rooftop's availability can be unpredictable. You need to call ahead to find out if it's open, and there are days when the weather is perfect, but the rooftop is still closed. This does affect the overall experience a bit. Additionally, it's only open from Thursday to Sunday, and I believe it should be available every day during the summer when the weather is nice. Despite these issues, I highly recommend this place. Their sushi is fantastic too!
Really a 2 1/2 Star today! The cocktails were good. Food, just Ok. A third of my vegetable were still semi frozen . Seems like they mixed some fresh vegetables with frozen vegetables. Fish was tasty but could have been cooked a little less.
This restaurant has a lovely waterfront location, but some inconsiderate boaters seem to think it's amusing to start their motors and startle those dining there. Our server, Jan, was fantastic and provided great service. However, the food was only average. Given the price, I was disappointed to receive a half portion of fish and chips, especially since the fries served were old and cold. They did bring extra fresh fries to compensate for this, but it still wasn't enough to make the meal enjoyable. Overall, it was a disappointing experience.
Food was very so-so. The tacos weren 't too bad but the calamari was nasty. They call it Crispy Calamari but it was not the least bit crispy and instead rubbery. The bartender was good and made good espresso martinis. But the quality of the food will likely keep me away from this place.

Ordered a Lobster(no lobster) Roll and a Seafood (no seafood) Roll. Smallest portions I’ve ever received in my life and I’ve eaten plenty of Lobster Rolls. Overrated, don’t waste your Money. Great View and that’s it and just ok service.
Service was good. Clams taste great, but a lot more breading then clam. Clam chowder was thicker than it needed to be. Calamari, cocktail shrimp, sushi roll were pretty good. Won't rush back ,but I'd give their other options a shot. Everyone aroundus seemed to like their special sushi rolls. Hopefully they can get their bee situation under control.
The staff at Bayvue is very friendly and professional, and the food was served quickly. Most of the dishes were enjoyable, but the oysters did not meet my expectations. I found the Stoli blueberry margarita to be watered down, so I ended up ordering another drink. I opted not to complain about the first drink since it was quite busy, and I didn’t want to inconvenience our lovely server. I was also disappointed that they were out of sushi, despite it being listed on the menu. The view was stunning, but it was very loud due to a party taking place upstairs. Drunken guests with cigars and drinks were milling about and leaving their items on all the tables, including ours. Although I wanted to highlight more positive aspects of the restaurant, there were unfortunately a few drawbacks.
Always a fantastic experience! The food is incredible and the service is consistently excellent. You must try the mozzarella sticks—they're a highlight! If you're a fan of fish and chips, this restaurant is the perfect choice. I've visited over a dozen times and each meal has been exceptional. I’m not sure how they manage it, but I’ve never seen any bugs here. This place is a favorite of mine!
The food was mediocre. The tacos were passable, but the calamari was unpleasant. They label it as Crispy Calamari, but it was far from crispy and instead had a rubbery texture. The bartender was talented and made excellent espresso martinis, but the food quality is likely enough to deter me from returning.
