So the Cinco De Mayo location that we visited in Athens, TX definitely deserves the 4+ stars that I gave them. I'm afraid the location in Lindale, TX did not meet those standards by any means. I would only give them a half a star at best. The food wasn't near as good and neither was the service. I ordered my usual go to at a Mexican restaurant when I can't decide or don't think anything else sounds good, the chicken... View all feedback.
What Jana Schwaiger doesn't like about Cinco De Mayo:
Food is okay. Depending on the day time, the staff is so-so. If you're lucky, you'll get a good waitress, but there's only one or two, so the odds aren't really in your favor. View all feedback.
Really good cheap Mexican food. my rating is based on what they get for the price.
We love Cinco De Mayo. We always get breakfast burritos through the drive through. Recently they put a sign up on the drive through window saying to order ahead so you don’t have to wait 15-20 minutes since they aren’t a “take-out” restaurant. Well today we ordered ahead so we wouldn’t have to wait. we called 20 minutes in advanced and they let us know our food would be ready in 15-20 minutes. we still had to wait another 20 minutes to get our food. 40 minutes in total. Doesn’t make much sense to tell people to call ahead or go to the back of the line if you still have the same exact wait.

I love the restaurant, it is the most authentic Mexican restaurant in the region, things that you can't find somewhere else like molcajetes and agua de horchata can be ordered there
The fact they charge extra for chip and dip, but food was good.
