This place is classic shot and beacon! Just what's brilliant to me is that you never see such bars anymore. I had the Walleye for lunch today with a coke for $9.85 and left half a piece of fish because I was filled! I will definitely try another burger!! Today back for half Pounder.... classic wax paper bar burger! Fantastic! I would stick with Krinkle cut frits, although instead of onion rings! View all feedback.
This place is a classic dive bar! What I find amazing is that you rarely come across places like this anymore. I had the Walleye for lunch today with a Coke for just $9.85, and I couldn't finish half the piece of fish because I was so full! I definitely want to try another burger next time! Today, I went back for the half-pounder – it's the classic burger served on wax paper! Absolutely fantastic! I would stick with the crinkle-cut fries instead of the onion rings, though!
Best Walleye Deal in Downriver! This hidden gem is perfect for a Friday night Walleye dinner. For just $6, you get three generous pieces of Walleye, along with Redskins, coleslaw, and fresh bread. The bar has a rich history, going back fifty years, and features a jukebox with tunes from the '60s and '70s, as well as a billiard table and shuffleboard. The dimly lit interior with its dark-paneled walls provides a classic and cozy atmosphere in Lincoln Park. Maria Dow cooks the fish to perfection! Interestingly, it’s the only bar without a front door or a sign out front. Most customers are locals who don’t need any advertising—they simply spread the word. On other days, they also serve decent burgers and fries. Make sure to park at the back where you'll find a small sign.
