The Sun Room is a great place to get a good breakfast. There is a good variety and not too much; its not overwhelming. The mochas are super delish and everything is fresh. The wait staff are a little green around the ears, but very earnest and eager to please. My husband had dietary restrictions and they had no problem working with us and the kitchen did a great job with the food. The views are outstanding even on a... View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about The Sun Room:
This place truly needs some training on the meaning of hospitality. No one around to seat us. Had to get menu ourselves. Did not get waters, utensils and waited over 30 minutes for our food! View all feedback.
At my personal recommendation, our party of 14 women, celebrating our good friends upcoming wedding, chose to dine at your establishment. Sadly, we spent over $500 for a mediocre, at best, meal and just acceptable service. In her defense, the waitress was overbooked and very busy. It would be my recommendation that the next time you have live music or special events that you choose to staff accordingly. Regarding our meals... all 4 of our Halibut specials were dry and tasteless. The Caesar salad was extremely over-dressed. The Coast Cabbage salad, which the bride ordered, was basically a plate of cabbage with no flavor... maybe consider adding sesame and ginger? In addition, all of he appetizers were served with our meal, not before, as expected.
Service staff are very friendly, food however is beyond sub par. Ordered the coast cabbage. It’s basically a giant pile of coleslaw covered in cashews and wasabi sauce. Just don’t.
We did get some slow service and once we mentioned something the manager was apologetic. Over all food and service workers out. Loved the intern from Korea! He is wonderful.
Ignored us for 15 mins. Didnt even offer us water. Left and went somewhere else that appreciated the business.
Menu is more focused on wellness, made fresh to order, with very high quality ingredients. I recommend the steamed clams with a fresh basil broth, the freshly baked pastries or the sourdough pancakes with fresh blackberries. The basic breakfasts are far from run of the mill as the eggs are organic, the orange juice is freshly squeezed, and the coffee is Stumptown. There are affordable selections for kids, too.
