First off the place felt like my fave rich uncles parlor. Relaxed and cozy. Can't wait to get there for a pint and just take a breather from running around all day. Love the waitstaff who were so friendly- they really made the place. Cool band playing. My kinda place View all feedback.
What Franck Roux doesn't like about Habaneros Pub & Grill:
how is this place still in business? mediocre. bland rice, canned beans, food not hot and deep fried chimichanga was under raw. of course, children wanted to be cheese garlic bread. hugely ripped off. 2 pieces of this little toaster garlic broth you can load a half for 6! big drop of 90 from the drain. never again. I was really excited to find a Mexican food restaurant on the wine route, because I can usually find tasty gluten free options with ease. So I stopped here for lunch. But my advice to you now is just keep driving. I had the taco plate. The tacos looked and tasted like they were out of a supermarket mix. Because I eat at a lot of Mexican restaurants, I thought that it was authentic Mexican food freshly prepared from scratch. The food was not well prepared, nor did it taste very fresh. The taco shells were straight out of the package. The beans tasted off and, knowing that I had health challenges, I stopped eating entirely a few spoons in, for fear that it would make me ill. The salad was okay, not great. All things considered, the price point was inflated. I seldom leave a poor review but I was really unimpressed.
Went with the kids on a Saturday night. Live band, great food, great ambiance. I am surprised not more people are going to simply enjoy a nice drink ($3.50 mixed drinks on Saturday nights) and the live band. The staff is also amazing. Hidden Beamsville Gem. Give it a try; you won't be disappointed.
I took my Mum here today for an early mothers day lunch. Mexican is her favourite food and we had yet to visit this restaurant. We were greeted by a lovely girl named Nina, who also happen o be our waitress. We ordered the combo platters I had the soft beef taco with enchiladas. My Mum had the soft taco with a burrito. We also ordered chips and salsa as an appetizer. We weren't sure what to expect, as we lived in Texas and know what great Mexican food taste like. Happy to report our lunch was really good! Portions were huge and the service was fantastic! After we were done the owner came over and chatted with us, he was a very nice man. This is a wee gem of a restaurant in the heart of wine country. We will be back again and again!
We live locally, and had not visited. Decided to go for a birthday dinner and have to say we were pleasantly surprised! The food was good, service was good, was a little dark and the music a little loud, but we could still talk and watch the hockey game and enjoy dinner.
This is one cute place. The staff was friendly. The menu was small but the food was very good. I would go back.
