The menu is surprisingly affordable given the quality of both the food and the ambiance. It’s an overall enjoyable experience, with a fantastic bar area if you want to catch a game. The seating is comfortable, and the wait staff is both accommodating and attentive. It’s a great spot for lunch, and even better for dinner. View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Granite City Food Brewery:
We ate in the extra “party room” for the Sunday brunch. It was so loud in there, it was hard to carry on a conversation at our table of 4. Service was great. Food was average. Atmosphere was brutal based on the noise level. Over the years, we have gone from eating at Granite City twice a month, to now eating there maybe twice a year. View all feedback.
We had never eaten here. I was disappointed because I can't eat garlic and nearly all of the entrees had garlic in the food. My choices were very limited. I had a salad (shredded lettuce, five cherry tomatoes, a tablespoon of onion, bacon bits and a sprinkle of blue cheese; I couldn't have the blue cheese dressing though as that had garlic. I also had 1/2 an avocado grilled cheese sandwich. My husband had pot roast. We ordered chocolate cake to go and we drank water. Our bill was $54.
Do not order the “crispy” brussel sprouts! Nothing crispy about them. The dish arrived looking like blobs in an oil slick on a plate. Wish I’d taken a pic. They tasted even worse-musty and old. Our server, Matt I believe (he also worked behind the bar-dark hair glasses), was wonderful when we said they were inedible. He took them away and made a good recommendation for a different app. He also made good recommendations for other entrees, sauces, dressings and even a custom-take on a cocktail. Everything he suggested we order we truly enjoyed! Thanks Matt!
We came here after a long day of moving stuff into the my brothers Uhaul and my brother wanted some good steak. Ive never been here but here we are.Food: We had a ton of food here, BBQ chicken flatbread, two ribeyes, a spinach and artichoke dip and drinks. The medium rare steaks were amazing!Service: Matt was our server. My brother was talking about steak the whole time during our move so we decided to get that. When they first came out they were medium well and well done. This was the most expensive dish on the menu. After 8 hours of work we were hungry, we just wanted our steaks done right. We asked them to be re done and one thing I do love about Matt response he said two things. He is a steak guy and without ANY hesitation he said he will have it redone. No push back like it was our fault, just honorable customer service. Well done Matt.Ambiance: We sat outside, the weather was FANTASTIC. The lights on patio didn't turn on automatically, we wanted the vibes so we turn it on ourselves, no biggie there.Im not much of an american steak eater, but how the service was presented made all the difference. Great job Granite City.
I do not recommend this place at all, me and my boyfriend went there for my graduation dinner and it was absolutely awful, my boyfriend got a steak and ordered it well done and it came back to us burnt dry and absolutely disgusting, he didn’t want to say anything to the waiter because she was super nice but he gave me a piece and i actually had to hold my hand over my mouth and drink a lot of soda because of how bad it was, the waiter even commented on the steak twice once was asking if he would take that to his dog and I don’t even think a dog would eat that, I do say my pasta was good it just could use more flavor but that’s just me with that. this dinner was definitely not worth $80 and we will not be going back.
Payed 20 dollars for fish and chips, got ten fries and 2 fish filets, picture on menu clearly shows larger portion. And my spinach dips, dip was less then half of the container. Order number 26924983431364609.
