Always love the stir-fry ramen. I’m not the biggest fan of soup or broth-y ramen but the stir fry is the perfect happy medium. Very friendly staff with an inspiring story, always adapting the menu to experiences the chef has had abroad. I love any chance I get to eat here
Great ramen place. I can get it really spicy the way I like it here. My usual favorite is the spicy miso with Thai chili and sambal, though I've tried most of the stuff on the menu and wouldn't recommend against any of it.
The thin sliced pork Chashu is brilliant and Tan-tan-men’s oily noodles is very unique! Karaage (Chinese fried chicken) with special Mayo is also good.
This is not going to be a good review. In fact, this might be the worst food I have ever eaten and reviewed... First the good: service and atmosphere were both good. Zero complaints! Unfortunately that is the only thing going for this place. Granted, there were plenty of white people chowing down and enjoying themselves, so I would guess that if you have never had anything but $0.10 ramen, the flavors here might satisfy you. First the broth: so effing watery I can’t even tell what it was supposed to be. I have had some terrible ramen in America, but this takes the cake as the worst by 1000%. Zero. Effing. Flavor. I can’t even fathom how to make soup this lacking in taste without mixing instant soup packets 10:1 to water. I order tantanmen, which should have different noodles than regular ramen, but not udon! The tonkotsu has no fat, no flavor whatsoever. Overall the ramen is the most dreadful meal I have ever had. Next I wanted gyoza, the half fried, half steamed dumplings typical with any ramen meal. I saw the dumplings and ordered. Not gyoza! Under cooked, hard, terrible flavor. I have no idea what these are, but never suffered through anything so bad in my years in Japan. I don’t mean to sound like some uppity jerk, bashing a local restaurant trying their best... but this is seriously bad. We walked ten minutes in heavy snow to get here. It’s honestly the worst meal I’ve ever had.
