The pub was quite busy, which is a good sign, and the atmosphere was vibrant with families enjoying their time there (it was Father's Day). The young staff members were polite, friendly, and efficient. The meal (Sunday roast) was generous, well-prepared, and flavorful. What Martin Johnson doesn't like about The White Hart:
I visited for Sunday lunch and, unfortunately, it wasn't as memorable as I had hoped. It brought back memories of school dinners, and I have to mention my pet peeve: sticky tabletops. On the positive side, the interior has been significantly improved since my last visit. However, would I go back for Sunday lunch? Sadly, no. View all feedback.

Fantastic pub management, staff and regulars , always made to feel welcome xx
Popped in to the White Hart at lissington on Thursday 6th October to take in the open mike night and decided to have our meal there. Nicely set out dining room with a lovely wood burner and polite and attentive staff. We had a lovely fish pie with cheesey mash accompanied by a really nice salad. It was a good sized portion, the fish pie was huge, homemade and full of fish. The open mike nite is on the first Thursday in the month and was well attended with all levels of musicians performing a good range of music. The owners has recently taken over and have done their utmost to improve the pub and are planning various other events and novelty evenings. Highly recommended.
