Contribute FeedbackThe Prince of Wales offers a mixed dining experience characterized by both commendable service and significant shortcomings. While patrons have enjoyed the ambiance and attentiveness of staff like Amy and Jess during bottomless brunches, others have encountered frustrating service delays, high prices, and rude staff interactions. Issues such as booking mishaps and inadequate food quality tarnish the overall experience, leading some to question a return visit. Despite the inconsistency, certain guests appreciate the cozy atmosphere and lively events, suggesting that while the pub has potential, improvements in service and value are essential for a truly enjoyable outing.
Sunday Sept. Jam night on when I went to the pub at approx pm Sunday great music spoilt by the TV screen showing Football all through the gig.The bar staff were un attentive spent most of the time on there mobile phones Had to ask for my pint to be topped up!The staff on duty this evening were poor hosts hardly any interaction with the customers unless you were in their little click.Used to be a good pub shame it's gone down hill .
Sunday 21 sept. at night when I went to the pub at 9:30 a.m., on Sundays great music pampered by the TV screen showing football through the gig. the bar staff were not attentively spent most of the time on there handys had to ask for my pint whether to be put up above! the staff at the service tonight were bad hosts hardly any interaction with the customers, unless they were in their small click. Previously a good pub swore that it is on the hill.
A pleasant pub, but with extremely high prices. On a sunny day, I decided to order an Aperol spritz to enjoy outside. The server mentioned a promotion of two for the price of one, but I only wanted one. The usual price for one drink is £7 to £10, but here it was a whopping £14! Yes, you can technically get two drinks for £14, but just be aware that it's for one drink. Just a heads up.
After reserving a table for 8 guests to celebrate my daughter's graduation, we arrived at the restaurant for drinks and a meal. Despite having email confirmation, our booking was not on the system. While enjoying drinks outside, other guests took our table. When we pointed this out to the lady at the bar, she suggested we ask the guests to leave. After finally being seated, we realized we had to order at the bar as no staff came to take our order. Our meals arrived separately, with a significant delay between each set of dishes. The food itself was of poor quality, with the chicken burger tasting old and the salad and coleslaw being unappetizing. The lady at the bar was incredibly rude when we asked about our meals, and her explanation that they only had one chef did not excuse the poor service. Overall, our experience at the Prince of Wales was disappointing, and we would not consider returning for food or drinks.
Our host Amy was most amazing, Couldn't do enough for our table. Such a credit to your team, Jess was great too, so lovely considerate. Will recommend the bottomless brunch to everyone will definitely visit again
