What caroleannlloyd doesn't like about Marks Spencer Cafe:
Always come here when visiting family in Lincoln. Today was a total let down. Tea cakes were only half toasted, had to ask for them redoing, Cappuccino and hot chocolate were, at best, medioca. Very dissapointed for the price they charge.. should have gone to Costa and will be doing in future.. View all feedback.

I went to this restaurant for lunch with my daughter. We ordered the gastro fish and chips with peas and a delicious pot of tartar sauce. The dish was good overall, but the portion of peas was very small and the chips could have been hotter. The highlight was my daughter's smoked salmon eggs Benedict on English muffins with hollandaise sauce - it was absolutely delicious and served hot. The service was good, but it seemed a bit busy with not enough staff to handle clearing and cleaning tables. Despite that, it was still a pleasant lunch experience and I plan on returning soon.
Service drinks were awful. Ordered hot chocolate no cream marshmallows, ordered a gingerbread frappe I had drunk mine eaten a scone still not got it in that time, asked for refund left, will not be going again!!!
Very poor service, left a trainee on his own. The orders were backlogged. Myself and my Mum finished our drinks and scones and my sister still hadn't got her drink. I had ordered a hot chocolate and they didn't put any cream etc on.
Firstly, I was disappointed to see that the saucers were missing. I always have a saucer with my coffee at home, so it felt strange not to have one at the restaurant. The latte I ordered was too bitter for my liking, and did not meet the usual quality I expect from M&S. The staff seemed preoccupied with chatting amongst themselves, which was a bit off-putting.
