My beef Enchilada plate (with red sauce) was nothing special. Very unnoticed rice. The chicken enchiladas of my wife (with the hottest green chili) were another story they enjoyed quite. The parking lot was raised to the point of the place that looks abandoned. If not for the illuminated OPEN sign in the window, we might have gone somewhere else. Overall, I am glad that we did not; it was a beautiful place to get a m... View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about La Posadita Mexican Grill:
I DO NOT recommend! Poor service. You must pay extra for chips and salsa. They were out of guacamole, avocados, steak, AND chorizo. It took almost an hour to get our food. They got my order wrong, charged us for an extra drink, and there was hair in my child's entree. When l pointed out the errors, they did NOT apologize or try to correct them. Two stars because I realize they were understaffed and working hard, but... View all feedback.
It was not a good meal (we both ordered bowls--one was pork the other chicken) we had to pay extra for the chips salsa which were also not very good. It was a great lunch fail...
Good service. Terrible food, must be canned refried beans, rice and meat had no flavor, overpriced for what you get. Flys in the restaurant. They probably won't be in business much longer.
Delicious meal! My husband ordered tamales and I ordered chili reanos. Sauces good as well.
If you're in Limon, you absolutely have to stop by this incredible Mexican restaurant! While passing through the area, we were excited to discover its high ratings and enticing photos. Our excitement grew even more when we learned it’s a family-owned establishment! We tried the steak, carnitas, and barbacoa tacos, along with a tamale and sopapillas. Everything was exceptional! The tacos were so flavorful that they didn’t even need the salsas on the side. The tamale was perfectly tender, with just the right balance of masa and meat. The sopapilla was delightful and brought back fond memories for my dad, reminding him of his grandmother’s recipe! You really need to visit and support this local gem!
Whenever I'm in the area, I make sure to stop by for takeout. I usually go for the taco salad or the enchilada combo, both of which are excellent choices. The dishes are always well-prepared. Kudos to the team! I highly recommend this place.
