Le Vieux Quercy - Feedback

What User dislikes about Le Vieux Quercy:
This restaurant could have been nice thanks to a nice terrace but unfortunately not lit, we ended up with the candlelight. In addition the service was very long and the cooking of the missed magrets. A little expensive for what we ate. Too bad View all feedback.

Well served. House kitchen undoubtedly. A treat. Very correct price And service with smile!
Beautiful! Market day... this Sunday, June 25, 2023... I stopped at Old Quercy... one day of luck! The mussels with forest sauce... a delight! The festive atmosphere overlooking the garden for this Chill House on the terrace...a beautiful setting of greenery...and flowers..Top! A very warm family team at the bar on the street... Overall I've enjoyed myself. I highly recommend!!!
Single meal, simple, good. Very cheap rate, you cannot ask for high gastronomy.

We dined here 4 times over 2 weeks. Staff were very pleasant, food was excellent and with some unexpected touches. Good choice of well-priced wine. We ate in square opposite, which was fine, but it was a shame the garden terrace was not open, as it was last year. Overall, very well-priced, unpretentious but very enjoyable food, and no feeling of being rushed.
Very good and tasty food and desserts. The service was very nice (by the owner basic English). The total filling was great very recommended.
Small restaurants in South West France usually serve the same old same old. Le Vieux Quercy does it with surprising style and the food is just great. Almost all do cassoulets but theirs is a cut above, the other dishes also, I recently had deboned leg of lamb, better than any for miles around. I visit every year for the last five years and they seem to get better all the time. Best is summer evenings when you can sit in the lovely garden out back.
We were sent to this restaurant as part of an organised walking tour. Somehow the arrangements had gone astray and the hostess was not expecting us. In spite of this she could not have been more charming or welcoming. The meal was truly memorable, and the whole experience was one of the highlights of our French experience.
Incredibly unfriendly reception (even with reservations) for lunch. Dingy inside. Refused to give us an free table by the only window--instead offered us a table in the unappealing backroom with two of the chairs jutting directly into the doorway path--and gloomy. I was fooled by the reviews of the wonderful food posted here--no one mentioned it was dark and dirty and unfriendly. I guess it is a mistake to count on the usefulness of reviews--I guess, reader beware! (and we drove 40 km especially to get to it. As you might guess, we did not stay at this restaurant--instead drove another 20 km to a place that was totally fine.
