There were two or three busy restaurants all close by and we picked Ze Chantier bec... read more We arrived late into Limoges and needed somewhere close to our hotel to eat. There were two or three busy restaurants all close by and we picked Ze Chantier because it was busy and reasonably priced.The lay out of the restaurant is quirky without compromising comfort and privacy. I would like to say more about the lay out but let it be a surprise. We were 5 days into a month long cycle journey and the seats were extremely comfortable! One final point about the layout and general ambience is that it should also appeal to families with young and teenage childrenTuring to food and wine, we went with the €16.99 menu plus a very palatable Languedoc Red. We had Salmon and the "Fish Brick" as our main courses. Well cooked and generous portions. Service was excellent and we found all staff were keen to help and advise. Their English was excellent which was very helpful, as our knowledge of a French is limited.
