What a great menu,... read more We saw the Steack House when we had lunch at another of my favourite restaurants, Mamie be good, and decided to to give it a try for dinner. What a great menu, there 's something for everyone at the Steack House, after sharing a half Camembert for a starter I followed the menu recommendation and had the Piece of Beef. The menu said that it was a must and indeed it was, 500g of excellent steak ! My wife had the American ribs and we shared some of each others dinner as usual, they were also excellent. The fries are really tasty and plentiful, and the Jacket Potato papillote were also perfect. Washed down with a bottle of Baume de Venice the restaurant left a great first impression, the only problem we had was that there was no room for a dessert, a real shame as they have Bread and butter pudding and custard on the menu, next time ! The palce is well worth a visit, clean, rich decor and friendly staff, i 'll be going back very soon, there 's a dozen other items on the menu I need to sample.

This one is not, but surely in the capital of the best meat in France, Limousin, one can do better. The issue is not that it is bad, it is not. The issue is that one could do so much better. And don't bother ordering dessert it is not good, plain and simple. I must also recognise the quality of the service. The ladies do an outstanding job.
