As for the hotel, Le Green offers good quality of food and service. Friendly and professional staff. Good selection of à la carte menu and wine list. The option of sitting on the terras overviewing the golfcourse is an excellent bonus. Eveytime my friends come over to Limoges we come here! View all feedback.
What Sabine Blondel doesn't like about Le Green St Lazare:
Hotelkamers prima in orde, alleen jammer dat er geen airco aanwezig is.De restaurantkaart is niet spannend maar biedt wel voldoende keuze. Ruime porties. Bereiding van het aanbevolen limousin vlees liet te wensen over. Frites waren klef en slap.Hotel was zeker gezien de prijs dik in orde maar het restaurant is geen herhaalbezoek waard. Its a nice restaurant for lunch on the terras outside with a view on (part of) the golf terrain. Service is correct but nothing more. Food is fresh prepared and of good quality. . For starter and fish iod the day, one glasses of wine and a cup of coffee each we paid eu60, . (2pax). They also have hotel accommodation.
Correct meal for a middle prize, but not exceptional. Service a little bit too long at the beginning. Very nice and quiet view over the green.
We ordered some drinks and a bottle of wine for aperitif, the waitress, who didn’t look very pleased to be there, opened the wine but left it on another table and didn’t come back to serve it so I did get the bottle and served the guest. My pan fried foie gras was cold and tasted a little burnt. Other guest were not impressed by their starters either. The waitress cleared the plates and didn’t ask if we enjoyed our starters. The main courses arrived and were not bad at all. The waitress started clearing some of the plates while two of our guests were still eating. I did mention it to her but she said it wasn’t a problem for her. It was a problem for us though. And then minutes later desserts arrived on the table while one of our guest was still eating her main course. I told the waitress that I have never seen that in a restaurant before and that she was supposed to wait for all the guest to finish their main courses before bringing desserts, she replied :”what, have you worked in catering yourself?” I don’t think we have to work in catering to know that it is wrong to start clearing plates before everybody has finished and certainly worse to bring desserts while a guest is still eating main course. We then ordered some teas and coffees, one of the flavoured tea was supposed to be ‘verveine’ but we received ‘tilleul’ and one of the coffee never arrived. This is not big deal when the service is good and friendly but in this case that just added to the disappointment. Every plate were chipped too. We were told by the waitress that the reason for all that was that the chef was in a rush to go home. We booked a table at 12h30 and finished the meal at 14h00, that is rushed. We should have been told to come at 12h00 if the chef wanted to go home earlier. I have read lots of good reviews about this place and feel sorry for the manager/owner to be let down by his team when not present in his restaurant. A very very disappointed customer
We had spent the night before at a Campanile further north. The price here only amounted to €6 more!! We had the 3 course €25 menu. Of particular note was the starter mushroom veloute, prawns and foie gras toast. All my favourites in one dish!! The venison steaks were delicious and done to perfection. I couldn't finish my dessert Paris Brest just too full, not because there was anything wrong with it!! Would go back wished it was nearer to home!!!
Bonne cuisine simple aux quantités suffisantes pour un tarif tout à fait raisonnable : nous sommes venus plusieurs fois et n'avons jamais été déçus.Agréable terrasse sur le golf.Restaurant très sympathique que nous recommandons.
