Nice place hard to get a table always busy, but we'll be worth it. I went in the morning and in the afternoon a few times and food is great. I went recently in the evening and the food is the same and the restaurant feels different, like such a beautiful place to eat with phenomenal dishes and drinks. Staff are genuinely friendly and welcoming. The syrup comes in a cute lil thing but the pancakes were (way, way) too chewy and bland—personally didn't like. I do recommend the chocolate milkshake. Coffee also tastes a bit better than it does in most other places in Ireland. View all feedback.
This is a lovely restaurant that's often busy, making it tricky to secure a table, but it's definitely worth the wait. I've visited both in the morning and the afternoon several times, and the food has always been excellent. I recently went in the evening, and while the food was just as good, the atmosphere had a completely different feel—it was such a beautiful setting to enjoy a meal, featuring phenomenal dishes and drinks. I can't wait to return and sample more delicious offerings!
We tried the Chimi eggs and Eggs Benedict, and they were both flavorful and satisfying. The pesto was fresh as well. I highly recommend this place!
The food was arguably the best we had during our trip! We ordered the Magic Mushroom Pasta and a goat cheese salad, both of which were bursting with flavor and paired beautifully. For dessert, we went with the cinnamon dish. To our delightful surprise, Neill presented our dessert topped with sparkling decorations and the words "gap" written in chocolate—all to celebrate our honeymoon! It brought huge smiles to our faces; it’s the thoughtful little gestures that truly make a difference. I wholeheartedly recommend The Buttery—1000%! If you find yourself in Limerick, treat yourself to a visit; you'll leave enchanted, with a smile on your face and your belly full of delicious food! The next morning, we had breakfast there and opted for the chicken and waffles. They were delicious and just the right texture—not too heavy, which can sometimes be the case. Another win for The Buttery! We can’t wait to return, hopefully soon!
I and a friend visited Buttery last night for dinner. It was some of the best food and service I experienced. From the moment we went to the door, the staff were attentive, super friendly and very well dressed. We had cocktails, wine, food and after our meal we made shots on the house that were super delicious!! Whenever I'm back in Limerick, I'll definitely go for dinner again!
Always top of my list when I’m in limerick. The food is amazing, staff are really friendly and great offers on bottomless and 2for1 cocktails! The Buffalo Chicken burger is the best chicken burger in the country IMO.
