I went to this restaurant twice during my time at the beach. The menu was limited and there were some items that were not available. I ordered the burger and was not impressed with it. In general, the restaurant has room for improvement. On the other hand, the breakfast in the nearby dining area was excellent.
I recently visited this restaurant for the third time in the past month, and once again I was disappointed to find out that they no longer had croque monsieurs or madames on the menu. If these items are no longer available, they should be taken off the menu to avoid any frustration. During our last visit, we were also informed that they had run out of hot chocolate and chocolate for our cappuccinos due to a shortage in the hotel. Despite this setback, we decided to try the club sandwiches, which were delicious and generously portioned. However, our overall experience was marred by the unfriendly behavior of our waitress, Amanda. She was rude and unresponsive, failing to even crack a smile or show any appreciation when we thanked her for our orders. Her brusque response to a question from my partner and her disrespectful attitude towards another family nearby was unacceptable. It's unfortunate that despite the good service we have experienced in the past, encounters like these with rude staff members can overshadow the positives of dining at this restaurant.
Recently it went to the family dinner to celebrate the final celebration of the neffens. we had a total of 15 tables. the service was great, but the food was expected far below the standards of such a operation! I'm not a smokey esser or a restaurant knowr. but the rump steak. burgers were terrible! I think 4 or 5 of us have ordered the burger....all very dissatisfied! see menu. children's menu article by garlauchbrot seemed to consist of white sliced bread with garlic butter! (the garlic bread took the time to be served....maybe the kitchen had to be improvised because it runs out of garlic bread. the bill came too good over €400.... pay that much money and not a decent meal. is a proverbial hard thing to swallow!sum: food 1 of 5 service etc., 4 of 5.
Bad service, bad food. the building is good, just change everything else! a barman who cannot remember 3 drinks when ordering? after someone is asked to check if their meal is in the kitchen waiting to be served (and right?) an 8-oz steak that has half the gut? leaving the hotel to go to another place because it was almost impossible to be served? but hey! if they only come to see the view of the river, then his ok, others who miss it!
We visited this hotel for lunch whilst shopping. Have to say we were gobsmacked. €16.95 for 2 sausages on top of a bit of mash and smothered in onions something you'd see on z children's menu elsewhere for maybe €8 or so. My husband...ordered the steak burger which was also €16.95 it was a mess with cheap bacon full of fat and an ordinary burger and there was also a taste off it. I had a chicken ceasor wrap which was just chicken and lettuce it was ok and probably the better of the three dishes the chips at the top of the basket were ok but hard underneath. Will not be returning here would have got a better meal at McDonald's.
