Had a few pints her before the Munster match. The pub was packed due to the game being on and was a bit crowded but there was a great atmosphere. The Guinness was excellent and staff were extremely efficient given how busy it was. Would highly recommend and will hopefully be visiting again. View all feedback.
What Mark Long doesn't like about Jj Bowles:
Such a great location with the Shannon rushing by and a perfect view of King John's castle. It's a shame to have to suffer a soft pint and stinky toilets. It could be one of Limericks' best bars, but alas. View all feedback.
I was down in limerick on St. Stephens day to watch Rugby with Leinster and Munster playing against each other ! Had a few pre match pints in Bowles. The service was fast and efficient, the atmosphere 'electric ' Such a great pub.

What a spot went here after a rugby game. Walking distance from Thomond park. Walked into a crowded pub to a televised hurling game. The atmosphere was fantastic. Very busy at the bar but service was excellent. Would definitely recommend a visit for sports fans
