What CharlieJenny doesn't like about Dragon I Chinese:
We decided to get takeout from this restaurant instead of dining in like we did a year ago. Unfortunately, it was not a great experience. When we arrived home, we realized that some items from our order were missing. The vegetable dish was just okay, and the main course was not enjoyable either. The broccoli seemed stale, and the mushrooms were clearly old and shriveled. Overall, it was a disappointing meal that cost... View all feedback.
Now called Well Done Chinese this restaurant is a hidden gem. Best Chinese food I 've eaten since moving to Ireland from Canada 3 years ago! Big portions, loads of meat and very fresh veg! Great service too. Highly recommend!
This restaurant USED to be lovely but our last visit was just abysmal. We came here for takeaway just before the Christmas holidays. We ordered takeaway, as we don't live locally and had to travel over 15 miles to get this food, but I wish I hadn't bothered. The main courses were very over priced, and then we had to pay extra for boiled/fried rice. the quantity of food in each portion was a disgrace (only 5 sugar cube piece of chicken in the sweet sour chicken) which was drowned in sauce. The mixed appetizers had seen better days and the chips were just crunchy pieces of grizzle. After getting home we realized that they had forgotten to include the prawn crackers which may I add they charged for (most restaurants give them for free) when I called them back I asked them to refund this to my card they refused!!! The service is appalling and the food was shockingly awful personally I would tell people to drive on and don't waste their money.
Ordered takeway for 4 costing 57 euro. Arrived home to find my order if duck contained only scraps of deep fried skin. Returned with duck even though it was 15 min drive to be told by owner that they had not given me that portion, that it was prob old bits that i had at home or that i had eaten the duck and brought back the scraps.!!! Spend quite a bit of money at this takeaway but it will be my last time.
During our first night in Adare, we were looking for somewhere to eat but didn't realize that pubs stop serving food at 9:30pm. The only option available was the Dragon Chinese Restaurant. Although we hadn't planned on having Chinese food while in Ireland, this restaurant turned out to be a pleasant surprise. The service was efficient, the food was served hot and fresh, and it was absolutely delicious. We were grateful for the opportunity to dine at this hidden gem.
