Description

**Restaurant Review: A Mixed Bag of Experiences**

This restaurant presents a diverse menu, with positive feedback on the quality of food and friendly service. Many guests rave about the chicken tenders and classic fish and chips, praising their fresh taste and generous portions. However, some reviewers express dissatisfaction with high prices and portions that don't match the cost, highlighting a lack of value. While the service is generally efficient, delivery delays leave some diners frustrated. A gluten-free menu is available and appreciated by those with dietary restrictions, but some feel improvements could be made in terms of bun quality. Overall, a restaurant that garners both acclaim and criticism.

The service was quite slow, and I'm not sure why, as the restaurant didn't seem overly busy. However, the food was good, and the staff was friendly.

Decent food, but far too overpriced. £21 for 2 mexican snack boxes is scandalous. My sister ordered a chilli dog, literally a small hotdog with a morsel of chilli on top, £7.50! Can get a JUMBO battered hotdog in Bridies for £3.50 that's twice the feed! Well seen it's the same owners as fire and stone pizza Would rather drive the whole way to Derry for a chippy (and still probably save money) than feed their greed Service: Take out

We were so looking forward to trying The Chippie based on word of mouth and great reviews. The Staff were brilliant and the place was spotless however unfortunately we were regretfully let down by the actual food. Although 1 portion of cod was ordered the remaining food items ie chicken tenders all tasted of fish. Assumptions is that they were cooked together in the one fryer? The chips although advising frying new potatoes were unfortunately overcooked maybe refried or left sitting. I based on previous the Chippie reviews would propose that this may have been a one off late on a Sunday evening so would consider a revisit but wanted to give this feedback for acknowledgement

Nice little chippy with separate gluten free menu. Nice selection of options and chatted to staff and was very impressed. Eager to help and verify ingredients if needed, clearly knowledgeable about allergies. I had a a simple burger and chips and was very happy with it. It would be nice if they used a GF brioche burger bun rather than the one used which seems to be a rice flour type, fairly tough and loaded with poppy seeds. Not bad but I prefer a brioche type bun. Service: Take out Food: 4 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4
