I came here with a vegetarian friend as recommended by our hostel and were pleased with their offerings. She had been in Peru and had yet to try typical Peruvian dishes because they always include meat. The menu features dishes that uses substitutes but retains the identity of the original. Highly recommended. View all feedback.
What Micaela Villarreal doesn't like about Bircher Benner:
This little place has some OK dishes. The decor is a bit basic - feels like sitting in someone's front room. We found better and far cheaper vegetarian restaurants in the area so it will be our only visit here. The food was perfectly good, but not 'Wow!' View all feedback.
We ate here as my niece is vegan. We ordered 3 lomo saltado and were given 2 lomo saltado and 1 pescado seco which tasted awful so I left it. We were charged the full cost.of 110 soles. I would not return or recommend this...rip off joint
As someone who is vegetarian and gluten free, I am used to eating side dishes and snacks while traveling. I was very happy to have a complete meal (eggplant parm, veggies, and rice) here which was customized to make gluten free. My husband (who has...no dietary restrictions) had a pizza which he enjoyed. He said the crust was quite different from American pizza but he liked the texture of it. There were many more things on the menu that I would love to try if we are in the area again!
Found this restaurant in Lima and was excited to try as I am vegan. Although they claim to be lacto-ovo-vegetarian, most dishes contain cheese or eggs so there aren't that many options for vegans. The first time we came in the evening, we were informed...that only the cold dishes were available with no explanation why, so we decided to return the next day for lunch. I ordered the veggie burger, and a veggie burger I received: no bun, no sauce, no salad. Literally just a party thrown on the plate. The chips clearly had not been seasoned at all, and were more like sliced boiled potatoes. The potato soup had no seasoning either. On the other had, the garlic bread was absolutely drenched in salt. It was just sliced bread covered in salt and rubbed with a bit of garlic. Service is not friendly in English or in Spanish. Wifi wasn't working. No loo roll in the bathroom. Only half the lights were on for some strange reason. N

Hay platos variados, no muy caros y es muy buena opción tanto para vegetarianos como para cambiar de sazon de vez en cuando
