Went there for the fish dinner special. The fish was good. However, the Mac and cheese should not have been served. It was hard and very oily. Hardly any cheese on it. Tasteless. Haluski noodles were cooked to mush and the cabbage was not cooked enough.

First time was good. Second try was takeout that I couldn’t get anyone to wait on me for. Took over an hour to bring home wet cold fries and my kid’s burger was all pink inside. Had to toss it. Disappointed.

What a fantastic experience! We live locally (I grew up in Lilly) and have heard great things about The Boxcar. Today my mom and I went for lunch. The railroad theme was perfect inside. I got a Turkey Club sandwich/fries and my mom got a Pizza (Ham)burger/fries. The Turkey wasn't just thin deli turkey, it was thick and delicious. The bacon was perfectly cooked and there was a bacon aioli that was delicious. The fries were great, fresh cut and cooked perfectly. My mom loved the pizza burger. Our service was excellent also. We'll definitely be coming back, the menu was huge, lots more choices we could've had. I highly recommend coming here, everything was excellent!Parking: Parking right across the street

Perfect place for lunch or dinner. Possibly the best burger I've ever had and BY FAR the best priced for the quality. Fries were okay, needed a grease change, but nothing salt and a shaker of pepper couldn't cover up. Stopped by while working in the area. Will be back soon!

Portion size is well worth the money. Salad n sandwich were huge. Food tasted great. Service was great. Diningroom was clean and nice.
