Omg yesterday evening was hot hot hot in Lille! 35 degrees at 7pm and I hadn’t checked how far away the restaurant was from our hotel which turned out to be a 4... read more Omg yesterday evening was hot hot hot in Lille! 35 degrees at 7pm and I hadn’t checked how far away the restaurant was from our hotel which turned out to be a 4.5km walk! We arrived a few minutes late, sweaty and fraught. But it was SO worth the walk a little restaurant on the very outskirts of Lille with wonderful reviews . A simple menu with delicious dishes prepared in front of you by chef Pierre, served by wonderful Marie. An amuse bouche of octopus salad or goats cheese on warm gingerbread was a great way to start followed by cool Burratta , heritage tomatoes and pesto, perfect tartare de Boeffe and an assortment of all the desserts with coffee !! We sat outside at a table on the pavement as the sun dipped and the air cooled and had what was definitely the loveliest meal of the holiday. We will be back with our family asap
