We came inside talking in English and they were talking constantly in French.They brought us French menu even if they had the English one. The service was going up and down all the time ignoring you. The food was not salted at all. We asked for the bill and they ignored us, we had to go two times to ask for the bill and the lady was very rude.

Centrally located by Old Lille/Grande Place and close to the train station, found this to be the perfect spot to get some lunch, relax, and enjoy the views for... read more Centrally located by Old Lille/Grande Place and close to the train station, found this to be the perfect spot to get some lunch, relax, and enjoy the views for a bit. Indoor and outdoor seating (heat lamps are setup when it's cold) available with a...good menu with western options and local as well (get the mussels moules et frites). Had a great lunch here, small kids enjoyed it too, as the food was very good and service was excellent. As when anywhere, be polite to wait staff and they'll reciprocate. That includes at least making an effort to speak French. This is a restaurant, not a fast food joint, so give respect and you'll get it in return. Nice spot.

We was not rushed in ordering nor rushed away with the bill so we had as much time as we wanted to enjoy our food and simply take in the views of outside. Then one of best waitresses in... read more Recommended by a hotel receptionist we thought it may be very touristy. If it was it hid it well. Greeted warmly and told to sit. Then one of best waitresses in the world made us feel we were the only two customers she cared about....The food was amazing. The drinks great but the waitress made it all. We shared mussels to start, even without an r in the month they were tasty and cooked perfectly. I followed this with a ham shank. It was nearly as good as my wife makes. The surrounding tables were full of locals that the waitress soon got to treat us as long lost cousins. It was a perfect meal spread per nearly 4 hours for two courses. Who could want for anything more
