We are on Saturday night drinking a drink and dining at the restaurant bar (it is written on the facade) after hours, solférino street in Lille. After a rather warm welcome (the boss had even asked customers to change the table to install us in the basement – we were 10), things were really spoiled.First of all, a waiter came to order drinks. He went back to prepare the order and he came back with the cash ticket asking us to pay what we had not yet on the table. We told him that we also wanted to restore us, but he demanded that we pay first the consumption, informing us that he had too many customers who left without paying. Of course, we can understand that. but it's hard to get out of the basement without notice. Anyway, since he had no money, we had to manage each other to make the boost. First disappointment. Then the boss came to take the orders for snacks. Even scenario, before we even had our plates, we had to settle. still no currency, so some pay by blue card. Everything seems right. we bring back the first dishes, and the server comes to tell us that it is missing €22.60 . we redo the accounts of each one. Nothing to do. The boss returns, a little furious, to ask who didn't pay, knowing that the snacks were going from 4 to 10€. he asks for the receipt of a blue card for those who have chosen this method of payment, we recount, in vain. He was told that the waiter was picking up money with the tickets, and that we have to check the cash. He doesn't want to hear anything. The crisis is taking place. The boss goes back, and comes back 5 minutes later to claim an imaginary dude. he asks for the proof of payment, some begin to lose patience, and we understand them.Finally, the evening was missed, and we still don't know what became these €22.60. Wouldn't it have been wiser to check on the ticket the consumption and the dishes adjusted as they go, and take the currency before coming in cash? Was it the first time the server was in charge of the service? If this is the case, you have to put it to the dive or learn to count. I think it's very well that everyone has to pay for their consumption. But we were 10 and each one was able to verify that his neighbour had paid what he had to, especially since most had settled by card, and that the rest did not represent the amount claimed.In any event, we will not return to that bar, managed by a staff who does not seem to be at the level of the task to be completed. If you go, bring currency or set by card to avoid any problems. a good hearer.
