Superb tofu dumplings, vegetable soup, and Chinese mushroom salad. The owner is rightly proud of his handmade dumplings. We had the boiled dumplings and will try fried next time. View all feedback.
What Maral Mehran doesn't like about P’tit Frère Dumpling:
So this is my favourite dumpling place in Montreal. You’d understand why I’m totally baffled as to why, two orders in a row now, the amount of sauce they put in the containers feels like a literal prank? I don’t understand what’s happening but it’s not great. View all feedback.
We came here as a group of four. They received us 30 minutes before their closure. We enjoyed that the service was fast, flexible and with no frills. The dumpling options were not bad, but also nothing exceptional. We asked our server if the fried option for the dumplings $2 surplus) a crispy skirt would have, which he confirmed. When our order arrived, the dumplings were not crispy, there was no skirt and they just looked like as they had been passed through on a hot pan.
The menu is affordable, and the staff was very kind. The place is low-key, the dumplings are OK but we had a good time for a quick dinner. Thanks ?Food: 4/5
Good hole in the wall style dumpling shop. They weren't the best dumplings I've had in Montreal but they were good and so was the service.
