I have been coming here for 20 years. In my opinion some of the best Indian food in Montreal. I particularly recommend the chicken dansak since it’s hard to come by elsewhere (only if you can handle spice!)The atmosphere is unfortunately not great since covid, as people have turned to take out View all feedback.
What HeidiD451 doesn't like about Maison De Cari Golden:
We wound up at this place because the restaurant we wanted to visit was closed. We are from NJ, where we eat Indian food frequently. This one was awful, beyond awful. The raita was weirdly sweet, pakoras dry, Saag Paneer not a hint of paneer. Worst was my Shrimp Tandoori. It was supposed to be jumbo shrimp. The shrimp was minuscule. As dry as could be — making it rubbery. Take my advice and stay far away. View all feedback.
I'm not a fan of Indian food, but it was okI took the special for two people, the portion is good
Probably the best Indian restaurant in terms of cuisine. The chicken, with butter, mixed vegetables (Baghi), and beef Danshak, among others are absolutely
After all these years of savoring the Indian gastronomy of Golden Curry, we are still impressed by the quality of the cuisine and the courteous welcome of this restaurant.Vegetarian options: Delicious vegetarian dishes.

What can I say? We were the only folks in there on a Thursday evening. The food was delish, the vindaloo hot, and at the end we had a very pleasant conversation with the owner. No, there was no people watching or other distractions...just a wonderful evening with my wife with a great meal. Don't do take out. Sit. Detach. Have a good time.
