This place is only open for lunch and you had better go early. She closes right after lunch. This is a family owned restaurant. She makes the best saimin ever. Wontons and roast pork are yummy. Even the noodles are house made View all feedback.

Food was ok. The three star was because there was no bathroom for my three year old who had to use the bathroom. Nothing special with the food. I guess it is what it is. View all feedback.

My friends and I arrived before they opened at 11 am and it smelled GREAT. I ordered a small combination, because if I'm going to have Kako's Saimin, I figured I'd go for everything ... but small. There's quite a bit of parking in front that's shared with other businesses.Am I biased? Heck yeah! My grandma took my hubby and I to saimin for lunch (after she took us out for breakfast and fed us fresh fruits from her garden as a snack) on our honeymoon ... and we still made room for Kako's saimin. Love you and miss you, Grandma Tamura!It's just off one of the main roads in Lihue, so as I remember, there were Pokestops that I could hit from the restaurant.
