What User doesn't like about Le Bistro:
The service was fantastic. The waitress was very accommodating, especially when my wife asked for some customization of the entrees and dessert. She was also very knowledgeable about the wines and made two excellent recommendations. The food itself was perfectly prepared and nicely presented. As far as cost: we had Beef Wellington which was new to me so I could not compare with other experiences. My only complaint wa... View all feedback.
This has to be one of the best local eats or just visiting. The Cabernet beef and Bouillabaisse are absolutely divine. If you're looking for authentic French cuisine this is for you.
For those who appreciate a true gourmet experience, Le Bistro should rise to the top of your “must do” list. They provide a sincerely excellent menu designed by a world-class chef. The service team is of equally exceptional caliber, and the environment will leave you craving your next visit. There aren’t words or review stars sufficient to describe this outstanding local restaurant, and you will not regret enjoying it for yourself.
We went last night for the first time for dinner. The food was delicious and we were surprised at the large portions. The Calamari appetizer was cooked perfectly. The House salads were the best I’ve ever had and the homemade blue cheese dressing was out of this world. Our main course meals were both cooked to perfection. The Oso Buco was so tender and prepared just right. I had homemade pasta, with sausage peppers onions which was out of this world. Our server Stacia was exceptional!! We met Ania the manager and she was so lovely and gracious! Great atmosphere and my new favorite place in beautiful downtown Tarpon Springs!! Will be going back to try some of the other great dishes on the menu.
Really nice hidden gem in Pompano, we have ordered a delicious beef tartar and as dessert profiteroles, the server Shambhala was really kind and polite, will be back for sure.
Dinner reservations were honored at an empty restaurant on Friday night. As we settled in to review the menu and make small talk with our waitress who is the co-owner, she seemed to take offense that we ask how she was connected to a French restaurant. We ordered our appetizers they were great. The entrees were another story. My medium rare steak arrived well done. The server wanted to pour the sauce on top and I requested it to be on the side. She told me we don't do that here. I said well I don't want all of the sauce on top so please leave it on the side. I'm guessing she wanted to pour the sauce on to cover the fact that my steak which was ordered medium rare came well done. She then told me when I asked to return it she would check in the kitchen to see if it was actually overcooked. When she returned to explain to me that the steak was overcooked and the problem was it was left too long in the plastic wrapping it arrived in they were going to make me another one. My husband at this point had already finished his meal. We left the restaurant and the next day received a phone call asking if they could charge us an additional $30 because they had undercharged us the night before. Not sure what happened to this restaurant but it's not what it used to be. Never in my life have I had a restaurant call me to tell me that they undercharged when the amount they undercharged was less than the amount we tipped.
