Tina was on point. Described the food perfectly. Food was fast and good. The Mo burger was fantastic, and the pizza was delicious. Only criticism I have is that the pizza had a grilled jalapeño on it, which we assumed would be warm/hot. It was cold! Would definitely come back. Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner
Our fist visit here, a much needed date nite w/o kids. First thing we noticed was that they stopped serving sandwiches at 4pm, reducing food choices vastly. Taco 's, a few burgers or pizza was the bulk of the menu. A few dinner specials . 1 when the server was asked how the shrimp are prepared on the taco 's, the answer was, I don 't know, I have never sold any of those..just wow!..went w/ pulled chicken taco 's..kinda bland, not very tasty..2 taco 's...$12..w/ a tiny side of cowboy caviar.. 2 fried oyster appetizer, $10 for 5 small/med oytsters..fair/good not great, both of us felt like the oil was not hot enough when fried, some under cooked dough was noted in the flavor. 3 501burger, brisket, carmelized onions, roasted jalapeno, swiss..this burger has flavor profile issues, the brisket (that was shredded?? , was fighting w/ the burger, my palate was confused, I had to separate them. 1 complete roasted jalapeno sat on top, would have been better butterflied, covering the top of the burger , onions were fried, not carmelized,(still crunchy no excuse. the deconstructed burger was decent..but $16..with a $1 up charge for fries..see#4 about fries... #4 fries..stated on the menu..SELF-INDULGENT FRESH AND SEASONED FRIES..could not be further from the truth. My fries were cold, limp and absolutely no seasoning..at 530 pm w/3 other seated parties there..what a huge disappointment..when pointed out to the server, she agreed they looked old and remarked, the fries are usually really good ..never offered a fresh cooked batch or refund!??..oh well, it is only $1..right...maybe they had fryer issues tonite?? We were hoping for a great meal, we ended up quite disappointed. I can not recommend 501 galley based on today. I hope it was just a bad day in the kitchen.. We will not return. However I hope this helps them improve. Bill was $43 2 chix tacos..12 1 501 burger..16 1 oyster app..10 2 waters
2023-10-18 Dinner was crab cakes, mashed potatoes and gravy, green beans. Very good. The booths are a bit more comfortable than the other places to sit. Crab cakes were fluffy and you could easily find the crab meat. Mash potatoes had a good brown gravy. A bit salty, Green beans were fully cooked, not al dente. Well seasoned and great with the crab cakes. A bit of a menu change. After 4pm the portion of the menu for sandwiches is not available. I think hamburgers are available. Salads, soups, and a few other appetizers are also available after 4pm. Everything on the back of the menu is available after 4pm. I did not have desert as the meal was just right for me.
Had a great experience. Tina was an excellent server, friendly and made you feel welcomed. The chef made excellent clam chower and the crab cakes were delicious. Recommend. Kid-friendliness: Treated my son excellent. Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $20–30 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
