Eaten here many times, good food, well cooked, varied menu and specials -you definitely need to book. The food reception area is a little cluttered/chaotic and looks like the bar area needs a good tidy up but this doesn’t affect the food/service. Would recommend trying... View all feedback.

Just been for a meal here and the food was great, the timings where great, the people are great but! A main course steak is served as a 5 course. First the steak then the chips, then the peas and so on. Land lady comes with plenty of attitude. it comes across that she is doing us a big favor. We have had this situation on a number of occasions, and no longer go.
Booked for a family meal following a visit to the National Arboretum on Remembrance Sunday.
So i was greated by tom houston and he was delightful. service was quick and drinks were out fast. althought the drinks didnt contain ice. they were quite warm. then the food came out and it tasted quite yummy until i found a toe nail in my mash potato. i called tom over and he apoliseged for this mistake and added another one for extra flavour. service was 10/10 from tom houston and i will definitly be back soon! thanks a lot
Food was fabulous. Not cheap, but not too pricey either. Nice surroundings in countryside setting. Only downside was that the lady who we presumed to be the owner was quite abrupt (came over several times during the evening to query our orders) and didn’t realise...
