What Elizabeth M doesn't like about Peninsular Cantonese:
This restaurant used to be great. After a long day, I decided to order some Chinese food. It arrived after an hour, lukewarm, and tasted like it had been reheated. The fries were terrible, the chicken balls were overcooked, and there were very few of them in the order. Good eating, but it's just to take away what a candid is
This restaurant used to be great. After a long day, I decided to order some Chinese food. It arrived after an hour, lukewarm, and tasted like it had been reheated. The fries were terrible, the chicken balls were overcooked, and there were very few of them in the order. It was one of the most expensive takeout meals I've ever had, and I didn't even get any free prawn crackers, which many places usually include. The most disappointing part was that I had to speak to the staff three times, and they were incredibly rude. They even hung up on me twice during the phone call. Overall, it was a terrible experience.
My family and I have been loyal customers of this Chinese restaurant for the past three years. However, our recent experience was extremely disappointing. We ordered food for eleven people for my birthday, including chicken fried rice, BBQ spare ribs, and chicken chow mein. The meat in the dishes tasted old and chewy, and overall the food was not up to par. When I called to express my dissatisfaction, the person I spoke to, who claimed to be the manager, was rude and unprofessional. She even referred to my 19-year-old nephew as a "little boy" and laughed at me when I asked for a refund for the uneaten food. Her disrespectful behavior was shocking, and as a result, we will no longer be returning to this restaurant. If you are looking for good Chinese food and respectful service, I would recommend avoiding this establishment.
