So I had never tried pad thai and ordered from here. I might not know pad thai, but I know quality. I ordered take out. This is not your average take out place. Can't believe this gem is in Tinley! I hope it never changes! View all feedback.
What ziad Al h doesn't like about Siam Marina In T:
Ambience was nice but it’s VERY overpriced for what you get taste wise and portion wise. Nothing special. My curry was way too sweet and didn’t have that curry flavor. Won’t be returning, better Thai places out there. View all feedback.
Great thai restaurant, tasty food. Best in the area. Returning again today. Still great food and very friendly staff.
I recently found out SM had relocated to Tinlel Park 10yrs ago. I was a frequent patron of their River Oaks location and I assumed they had just closed. I was excited to visit because SM of River Oaks was my go to restaurant for good Thai food. Unfortunately I was terribly disappointed with the food at SM of Tinley Park. I ordered the Thai spring rolls, the plum sauce was thick and gooey and you good not see the rolls for all the cabbage and carrots piled on it. I would suggest the carrots and cabbage as a simple garnish, not a salad. I recall the plum sauce being less concealed and although it is meant to be served cold, I recall the sauce being a thin coating and slightly tepid in temperature. I 'm not sure if it was cranberries or craisins added to sauce, but they were obliterated by the thick, tasteless sauce The Spicy Basil leaves with chicken was just ok. The chicken was so dry, I could barely cut it with the serving knife. The pad Thai with chicken was a mess! The noodles were overcooked, the same dried out chicken, thick, tasteless sauce, and again, the carrots, cabbage, peanuts just piled on. Not only did it not taste good, the presentation was awful! The only saving grace was the server, Ari. She was welcoming, kind and accommodating. When she saw I didn 't eat the Pad Thai she tried to go to the manager, who did not have time for her. She even tried to call Tammy, who I took to be the owner, but she wouldn 't answer her phone. Overall, if you just want a nice , pleasant ambiance, SM has it....but I would stay away from the food.
I’m not sure why my impression is so much different than other people writing reviews, but this place is such a miss. Cocktail was weak and too sweet. Panang was just pure coconut cream. Service was slow. The place seems dirty.
The food tasted stale like it was cooked in a grill with old oil. I didn’t care for it. When you go into the place they have a tray of desserts that are moldy when you enter the restaurant. This should be taken down immediately. This is the second time I have been in there and that same nasty moldy dessert tray is still there. The sauce for the egg rolls tasted stale. For the expensive cost of the dishes. Please check the taste of the items. Very old and stale.
Tried this place since since our go to closed. Spring rolls were in a crepe roll and so bizarre. Young server girl kept disappearing, hope all is okay there. Asked for sauce from another server and she didn’t bother telling me there was a $1 charge per sauce. Portions are humorously huge and the food was highly inconsistent. Very expensive. I would never eat here again.
