The Social Vegan - Lexington

Great stop on our way through Louisville. Worth the detour.

While road-tripping to Tennessee, we decided to stop and give this place a try. This was one of the best decisions made on the trip. Everything was delicious and made to order. I had the Social Chick’n Philly and my wife had the Vegan Chick’n and Waffles. The “Chick’n” in the Chick’n and Waffles was a fried oyster mushroom, which had a spicy bite/crunch which worked excellent against the sweet chewy waffle and maple syrup.

We arrive twice a year from Virginia Beach to Lexington, and during our visits a stop at Social Vegan has become a regular event. The food is great! We had a group of 6 last night. We were the only vegans in the group. Two members are very vegan friendly, and 2 more would never consider visiting a vegan restaurant as polite for vegan visitors. But... everyone took care of their food! Under our group we tested Nachos, black bean burgers, the social burger, a social dog, the chiop cup salad, streets of corn and a Quesadilla – all have good reviews! What a gold mine. Fantastic food and great atmosphere

I was greeted as soon as I walked in the restaurant by the two wonderful employees. Andrew and Rodneisha were extremely helpful as this was my first time in a vegan restaurant . I ordered a Social-licious Chicken Philly and it was very flavorful . Delicious food and amazing service and I will be back very soon !
