Stopped for dinner a few weeks before they closed. Food was very good, as was the service. I must be going nose blind because I didn't smell anything other than the food. And my oh my, look at all the Trumpy snowflakes getting their knickers in a twist over something that happened five years ago. I doubt 90% of them ever set foot in here and just wanted to pout.Good luck with the new lanch! View all feedback.
What Len C doesn't like about The Red Hen:
This place is a joke, so glad they are going out of business. Stay out of politics when you own/run a restaurant/business. Stick to what you know to be successful. View all feedback.
Unprofession server. The owner started yelling at someone outside, totally not cool, felt unsafe around the people like the owner. We walked out.
The Red Hen is/was a delightful restaurant with some of the highest quality food in Lexington. Not only did I enjoy my meal but the staff treated us like family. It was reasonably priced and my pleasure to try it before it closed likely as a result of angry adults, hundreds of miles away, with nothing better to do than review bomb a small business in a relatively poor part of Our Country.I hope that the people who create fake google accounts and who hide behind their computer screens grow up and spend their lives doing something more productive. How would you feel if someone attacked your family member's business due to political resentment? So childish and mean spirited.I will miss having this restaurant to take my family and friends to for a nice meal.
A delightful experience from beginning to end. I enjoyed their 4 course menu which was obviously created with love including the poached pear salad, lobster bisque, filet mignon, and olive oil cake. My server, also delightful, recommended a scotch cocktail which was fabulous. I also tried their cardamom old fashioned and was pleasantly surprised at how delicious it was too. Great job Red Hen family! Thanks for a lovely evening!
This place is woke trash rats running all around in the place stinks horribly. Avoid this place at all cost.
A couple of weeks ago I was driving through Lexington, VA on my way to Charlotte, VA when my girlfriend decided to stop for dinner. We both had the Salmon Vierge. It seemed a little off, so we politely removed it from our mouth and asked for our bill. We paid and left. We will not return.
