This restaurant definitely lives up to its name. The bar is the focus, with most of the tables being two-tops along the window, which explains why it can be hard to get a reservation. The pickles (an assortment of root vegetables, jalapeño, bamboo shoots, and onion varieties) and the whipped feta plate were colorful and delicious, but a tad pricy. My husband and I split the lamb, which was not bad, but not worth $30 (in my opinion). Everything was cooked well and plated nicely. I was glad to hear they try to source locally and sustainably as much as possible, and will probably be back to try a different main dish. Its atmosphere is dressy casual and the staff is very friendly, but seemed a bit distracted.

Went here because a friend recommended the place. This person is not my friend anymore. We went in for a relaxing evening. Ordered a bottle of wine and two small plates...the cannelloni bean dip chow chow and the boule brisket. The boule was something unique as it was a candle made from brisket fat. The bean dip was also decent. Now here’s why I wouldn’t come back...the service. 2 minutes after the small plates came out main course was delivered. Our table was overflowing. Our waitress hardly cracked a smile and I think it hurt her face when she did. She offered no suggestions and would start talking and then just walk away. You could tell she did not want to be at work. I won’t be back nor recommend this place to anyone.
