Mccarthy's Irish - Lexington

Great local bar, comfortable place to hang out. I stopped there to wait for my ride to pick me up and very friendly bar. Mike, the bartender was awesome. Friendly, helpful and tasty drinks.

Stopped in after a day of bourbon tours! Fun atmosphere, great spirits and collection of bourbons. Love the pictures and history on the walls.

This is the place to go for St. Patricks Day. It is a true Irish pub. When you walk in, the TV will either have soccer or rugby playing. No american football or baseball unless it is the only sport available at that time. Good drinks and good value.

We went to McCarthy’s last night and had a great time! The vibe was a cool chill local bar type vibe and it’s decorated nicely with racehorse memorabilia. The juke box has a great selection of music and we had a nice time at this great local Irish bar.

I've been to this bar many times with friends and it's a decent place to go. This past week I went and ordered a drink with my credit card and kept my tab open. When I was ready to leave I went to close my tab and the bartender said they didn't have my card. So, I went to the owner of the bar, who I had originally ordered my drink from, to inquire where my card was. He told me that I never ordered a drink or opened a tab and that they did not have my card or any record of having my card. I kept inquiring about my credit card, since both of my friends I was with saw me order a drink and open a tab. Instead of the owner being helpful and looking for my card, he kicked me out of the bar, because he didn't want to deal with the situation and their mistake of misplacing my card. I have NEVER encountered such awful customer service at any bar- not only did they LOOSE my credit card, but then blamed it on me and kicked me out of the bar. I would NOT recommend coming here!
