Husband and I came in on a Saturday afternoon for some hearty food and we found this restaurant on a google search. We ate in their casual lounge and was greeted at the door. We were given our choice of seats and settled in to look at the menu. Lots of soul and some southern dishes. I code the Fried Chicken with mac and cheese and green beans. My husband ordered beef ribs with potato salad and green beans. We both had iced tea. After a short wait our food came and there was a lot of it. I got a half chicken with a good portion of sides and hubby got 5 ribs with a good amount of meat. All was delicious! The chicken was not greasy at all! The chicken was juicy and breading spot on. The beef ribs were spiced well and served with BBQ sauce. Some ribs had more meat than others but plenty to fill you up. Mac and cheese was outstanding-with bacon bits among the cheesy goodness. The green beans were delicious and had smoked turkey pieces in it. The potato salad was also good with chunks of potatoes and not too much mayonnaise. I must say our server was very good and eager to make our visit pleasant!

Everything about this place was amazing! The food was SO good- our table ordered a little bit of everything and it ALL was some of the best we’ve ever had. The service was incredible and the women that own and run the place are so wonderful! The most kind and loving, of not only their customers, but also their community and you can feel it the second you walk in the restaurant and taste it in their food. I have nothing but great things to say about this place and will be recommending it to everyone!

Really good food. We had the pork ribs with Mac n cheese and green beans. And the fish with pintos and yams. We also ordered a side on fried okra. I honestly would come back here just for the Mac n cheese. All of the food was excellent but the Mac n cheese was outstanding. Ribs fell off the bone and had plenty of flavor and had a good balance of fat/meat. The fish was good too. No bones, light breading but seasoned well. Not a huge fan of the beans but with that being said, it just wasn't my type. They were still good. I am definitely coming back.

The food is so good. No wonder there was a wait. Everyone needed this deliciously delicious food in their lives. The pork ribs were falling off the bones, and the collard greens were sooo good as were the hush puppies, corn bread, and yams. Next time I need to get there early because the Mac and cheese and the green beans were gone. My fault for waiting so late. I will definitely be going back.

This time, she ordered the BBQ Baked Chicken (with sauce) along with greens and the baked mac and cheese. It even comes with a type of bread; this time, it was cornbread. Since her first order, the staff have been so thoughtful; upon learning about her pregnancy, they started including sweet notes like "Congratulations on your pregnancy, mama! We can't wait to see you when the baby arrives!" This time, they even included a care package with a pickle and some sauce. They truly are the best! My girlfriend is incredibly satisfied, and so am I! She was so excited to dig in that she sent me a picture before she even took a bite, haha!
