What Kurtis G doesn't like about Angie's:
Just OK. Hotel has changed breakfast to a food beverage per night that does not cover the cost. Limited items on the buffet. Worlds thinnest bacon. Disappointed with the changes Hilton is allowing at its upper tier hotels. Bar uses powered and premixed mixers for cocktails, super sweet cocktails. View all feedback.
The experience was just average. The hotel has altered its breakfast offering to a nightly food and beverage credit that doesn't fully cover the cost. The buffet selection is quite limited, and the bacon is the thinnest I've ever seen. I'm disappointed with the changes Hilton is implementing at its higher-tier hotels. Additionally, the bar uses powdered and pre-mixed mixers for cocktails, resulting in overly sweet drinks.
The restaurant was nice and clean. We dined there while staying at the DoubleTree, and they offered a great breakfast buffet.
The food was lacking in flavor and quite bland. It seemed as though it was made without much cultural inspiration. Overall, it came across as unseasoned.
I didn't try any food during my visit, but I did enjoy the bar while staying at the DoubleTree Hotel recently. The male bartender was attentive and very accommodating. The bar hours are from 5 PM to 9 PM on weekdays and from 5 PM to 10 PM on weekends, I believe. You can order food at the bar, but there's also a separate dining area in the restaurant. The drinks were good, and the prices were reasonable. You really can't beat the convenience. Sorry, I didn't take any pictures!
I dine here every time I stay at the Double Tree in Lexington, KY. The bartender is incredibly friendly, and the food is fantastic. It is somewhat expensive, but it’s definitely worth it. I highly recommend this place to everyone.
