Stetson's - Lewistown

It wasn't busy when I visited, as I had been looking for a great steak and found it here! I ordered the 16 oz top sirloin, while my wife had the 8 oz. Both were cooked perfectly, and the baked potato was delicious. It's really a no-frills place, but the portions are generous. I will definitely be coming back!

When the food arrived, it looked nothing like what we expected. The plate had two types of fancy lettuce, meat filling on top, and tortilla chips around the edge, but there was NO CHEESE, which is typically a staple in taco salads. The real trouble began when I went to pay the bill. The waiter dropped off the check and left, and to my shock, the total was only $1.75. The itemized breakdown read: Taco Salad... 0.00. Taco Salad... 0.00. Iced Tea... 1.75. I couldn't find anyone to speak with, so I went to the registration desk and was directed to the restaurant manager at the end of the counter. I showed her the bill and explained that I had received two free taco salads. She said she would handle it and walked away. A few minutes later, the waiter returned with a new check, and I ended up paying the full amount. One would expect some compensation for pointing out the waiter’s mistake, but instead, they decided to charge me the full price! Everyone I’ve shared this experience with says that’s one of the reasons people avoid this place.

Everyone I've shared this experience with has said they wouldn’t consider going there.

I ordered the summer salad featuring fresh fruit, sliced almonds, and a delicious dressing. The presentation was outstanding and everything tasted incredibly fresh. It was excellent!
