Fishy Business - Lewisham

Usually good, but not today. it has been closed for a few months and only reopened last week. I made the mistake to go 19:50 on a Friday night. it was completely chaos. in a phase 22 people waited for their command, but nothing was served. I could see that the people long came after me to order the same as I and be served well before me. the man beside me told me he was there 10 minutes before my arrival. I was served before him! it took 45 minutes to produce my simple order from a small cable and a small chip. people with more complex orders were first served. When I came home, the chips were hard and the fish was overcooked and lukewarm. Finally, the chip sections are absurdly large. I ordered a small part of chips. I couldn't fit them all on a single, pretty big, dinner plate. we usually share a part between two, but if I am alone, 50% is thrown away in the rule. other days are less busy and the fish and chips are better.

This fish and chips shop is an unsung hero in the opposite, serving delicious freshly cooked fish next to generous portions of fish. the owners are proud of their kitchen and it shows in each portion. 5*

Because this my local chippy I often quite regularly. there is a very well-known competitor on the road that makes a posher version, but these young chips, fish and also huh are always very good and fresh. the owner is a little quirky. but that makes the visit amusing (for me.) the choice of kartoffel for the chips is also very good I recommend when in the

The portions are generous, and they can order their food in advance fish freshly fried and not hang around for old in a food warmer chips are usually freshly fried as the turnover is high

This is my local and we have been buying chips from here for a good few months now. My husband discovered it as it is tucked away from the high street it is not in an obvious place. They offer huge portions and cook your...fish to order so it is always nice and fresh.
