Had a work function here and was impressed. The drinks were quite good as well as the food. The interior reminds me of a ski lodge, lots of wood, and outdoor themes. Was not busy at all since it was a week day around lunch time. I've heard good things about the distillery products, but have not enjoyed personally. Will have to patronize another time to enjoy more of what Crostwater has to offer. View all feedback.
What mkT2173NJ doesn't like about American Heritage Kitchen And Tasting Room:
I can’t believe people I know actually referred this place to me. Wife and I went for brunch today. Food and service was horrible. Waited over an hour for my French toast and eggs over-easy (there were only 17 people in the place). Eggs completely fried through and through, French toast dry in the middle and rock hard….plate was hot when served, so I know it was microwaved before being served. Honestly, breakfast at... Honestly, breakfast at McDonalds is ten times better, no joke…I’m serious. Waitresses never once came over during our hour long wait, never said “hello” or “goodbye” and definitely never asked how our meal was! The alcohol must keep this place in business, because the food and service is absolutely terrible, but I’ll never know as I will never set foot back in that place!
Really great atmosphere. Something different and elevated for this area. The menu was modest but offered fresh and unique options. I was advised that they change up their menu regularly. I had the “Alabama Slammer” chicken sandwich. It was deliciously seasoned juicy chicken with bacon, pepper Jack cheese, pickles, and a horseradish sauce. The fries are triple fried. My husband had the wagyu burger. It was all delightful! There was a musician playing which really made our evening special. The decor is a bit rustic with beautiful wood beams and high ceilings. The server was kind, helpful with the menu, and our food arrived quickly. It was a great place for my husband and I to have an impromptu date night! We will most definitely be back.
Local Flavor carried the Crostwater ad for Mother’s Day brunch buffet. Sounded wonderful, so we brought two certificates and went. Well, contrary to the print there was No **** Mary bar, No Omelet Station, and No Carving Station!! There was a buffet where the food was cold (except the Mac and cheese! Waitstaff were few and rude. There was one mimosa for the mom and one rose as we departed. We were told we could use only one of our certificates at a visit. (Can’t find that in print yet. COVID precautions: One staff person wore a mask and we all used the same utensils in the buffet line. I note that all the customers put on masks in the line. Bottom line: try a different place.
Every time we visit Crostwater, the service and food is always good. The menu is healthy with good choices. If you never had been at this reasturant, you have to try it.
