Gilligan's Waterfront - Lewes

We were so glad when Gilligan's remodeled and reopened, we had missed the food and the beautiful outdoor terrace that we used to enjoy. The new interior is so spacious and light, with plenty of seating. The first time we came we had to sit inside due to poor weather, but we had a delicious dinner and excellent service. The crabcake was the same delicious one that I remembered. And we were lucky that they had carrot cake that night because it is the best I've ever had! The second time we were able to sit outside, and the deck is much more spacious than before, and the food and service was, again, excellent. This will be an new favorite spot.

I had a wonderful lunch today. The crab cakes were everything I hoped for—sweet, juicy, and delicious. The special cod was outstanding, and our teenage daughters absolutely loved their caprese sandwiches. The lime cake and bread pudding were the perfect finishing touches to our fantastic meal. Our server, Kara, was attentive and very friendly. It was a bit on the pricey side, but definitely worth it.

My wife, sister-in-law, and I had lunch here, and we were very pleased with everything—the service, the food, and the prices. Later for dinner, we went to another seafood restaurant and really regretted it.

I recently visited Lewes over the weekend and was told that Gilligan's is the place to try their famous 8oz cake! The crabcakes there were absolutely incredible, and it's definitely a spot where you need to snap a picture of your plate before digging in. It's such a unique restaurant!

Crab Cake! The Crab Cake is the best in Sussex County. It is slightly baked and all Jumbo flowers. You can't hit the location directly on the canal. The interior is a little dated, but it adds Gilligan's charm. The mojitos complement the crab cakes and the atmosphere perfectly.
