El Bodegon - Leverkusen

Location: great is you are around the town centre. The restaurant itself is located in a basement... a bit dark, no windows, not enough illumination, ... however, it was pretty nicely decorated. Food: I went for a paella: it was OK... maybe for German standards...is excellent but having already eaten real paellas, this one will not fulfill your expectations. Wine: very good! Staff: very polite and professional.

Went to this restaurant last night for dinner. Had pre booked a table for eight at o'clock. We arrived on time and were seated and given menus to peruse. minutes later a waiter came and asked us if we wanted a drink. We...were all getting pretty annoyed by this time. minutes later our drinks arrived. I went to bar and asked if they had a menu in English. The bar person who seemed to be running the show looked at me like I was something bad he had found on his shoe and went and got me one. He did not utter a word to me. Extremely rude and ignorant mam. Another minutes went by before the waiter came back to take our order. Food was good. Service was inexcusable.

Claustrophobic. The restaurant is in the basement without any window. Dark and old. A renovation could be great. The food is not bad, but is nothing special. A bit expensive. For the same price you can go to better spanish restaurants in Leverkusen with better...quality.

Excellent steak house in the center of Leverkusen. Nice decor, extensive menu, juicy tender steaks and friendly waiters. Highly recommended, specially for a romantic date as it has a nice intimate atmosphere.
