The restaurant's Michelin Star is well-deserved, thanks to its superb staff, wonderful menu, and unsurpassed service. The seafood dishes are particularly stunning. While the rooms may have a few quirks, the overall experience, especially for special occasions like birthdays or honeymoons, is fantastic. Whether you're looking for a fine dining experience or a relaxing overnight stay, the Peat Inn is a must-visit destination for food lovers.
We had the five course lunch and every course was excellent, with the beef main being a particular highlight. The service was also superb. This restaurant is well-deserving of its Michelin Star.
Great food served pleasantly with a great wine pairing. Service was impeccable and, with a little encouragement, conversation with the staff was interesting and involved. Normally I lost lots of photos but here you will surely get something different and intriguing, do just come, easy, relax and enjoy.
The restaurant is fantastic. The food was brilliant, the service excellent it was very busy though. The rooms though, disappoint. They are lovely and the unexpected extras welcome. However the flowers are plastic (really! and the sofa oddly uncomfortable. And very expensive. You can get far more for the same money a few miles down the road in St Andrews. I will do the restaurant again, but I'll avoid the rooms.
We had a lovely dinner and overnight experience with a voucher from It is on £375). Room was lovely of a bit odd in respect of stairs up to living area and down to sleeping area/toilet. Not sure if there are more accessible rooms but this type of room would not be suitable for elderly or anyone with mobility issues. Also TV upstairs with tea/coffee so if you wanted a cuppa in bed you had to carry cups down a good few stairs. Note if you are thinking of it, breakfast is continental v high standard and v varied) and delivered to room. Dinner was beautiful even if I did not really care for carpaccio of scallops. Service and quality delightful. We paid a good bit more for drinks and 4th course but was all worth it. Definitely recommend it.
Was taken for Lunch as a Birthday treat was very impressed with the food, drinks and service. The lunch menu is excellent value for a Michelin Star restaurant !!! Didn’t stay so can’t comment on the rooms
