Contribute FeedbackLocated within the Daniel O' Donnel visitor center, The Stepping Stone might not catch your eye at first glance. However, since opening in Easter 2012, this gastropub has quickly made a name for itself. The modern and clean decor, along with friendly staff, create a welcoming atmosphere. During a rainy Tuesday afternoon visit, we were pleasantly surprised by the high quality of the food, with soup and sandwiches standing out as a highlight. The club sandwiches, prawn cocktail, soup, and chicken wings were all delicious and worth the price. The only downside was the coffee, which was made from an instant machine. Despite this, we are looking forward to trying their dinner menu and the offerings at the Bank Bistro. It's always a good sign when locals frequent a place, and The Stepping Stone was packed during our visit. Just be aware that they play a lot of Daniel O' Donnel music, so if you're not a fan, you may want to reconsider. Overall, it's a hidden gem in the area that shouldn't be missed.
The staff is very friendly and the menu is fantastic. The decor is lovely. I will definitely be returning without any hesitation.
