At first, there was some confusion with a McGarry’s Pub in the States, but a quick search and a visit to Dunfanaghy led us back to McCarry’s. We were so glad we found it! McCarry’s is off the beaten path, and if you think it’s too far out, think again. Entering the bar felt like visiting a welcoming aunt’s home—cozy, warm, and inviting. We visited on a Thursday around 5 PM, trusting Google’s info that they were open then. The menu featured classic favorites. One of us chose the chili chicken with chips, and two others had the tagliatelle, with one order made vegetarian. The food was fresh, delicious, and thoroughly enjoyed. The staff were friendly and efficient, and the bill was reasonable. As we left, the bar started filling up, proving that we’d stumbled upon a well-kept local secret!

The locals were friendly and en... read more From the moment we stepped into McCarry’s, we were warmly welcomed. The food was excellent, and the staff went above and beyond. The locals were friendly and engaged us in conversation. A gifted young musician performing on the outdoor patio added a wonderful atmosphere. The staff even helped arrange our ride home at the end of the evening. This place is truly a hidden gem, and I highly recommend visiting if you get the chance.
