The locals were friendly and en... read more From the moment we stepped into McCarry’s, we were warmly welcomed. The food was excellent, and the staff went above and beyond. The locals were friendly and engaged us in conversation. A gifted young musician performing on the outdoor patio added a wonderful atmosphere. The staff even helped arrange our ride home at the end of the evening. This place is truly a hidden gem, and I highly recommend visiting if you get the chance.

After a quick Google search and a bit of confusion with a McGarry’s pub in the States, plus a detour through the quiet town, we finally found McCarry’s—and we were so glad we did! Tucked away farther out than expected, McCarry’s feels like a visit to a warm, inviting aunt’s home. We arrived around 5 PM on a Thursday, based on their posted hours. The menu featured classic pub dishes. One of us ordered chili chicken with chips, while two tried the tagliatelle, including a vegetarian option. The food was fresh, tasty, and thoroughly enjoyed. The staff were friendly and efficient, and the bill was reasonable. By the time we left, the place was filling up, showing we'd discovered a hidden local favorite. Great value for money!
