The tearoom that was once the highlight of my walk has disappointed me with its recent changes. The food, which used to be consistently excellent and fresh, now only offers average cafe-style dishes with a processed taste. Good cafeteria restaurant. The staff was very nice. Unclear which options are available. Good after visiting the castle on the shuttle bus.
Good self catering, we ate well and food cooked on site
I came as a family of four after a good hike in the park. We ordered 4 sandwiches at 5.50€ each and made them ourselves with the available toppings. To our surprise we ended up with a plate with the sandwiches we ordered, who were already pretty big, plus a side of fries. Everything was just delicious and made this day even better. (Best lunch I had in a while). The people there are also really friendly and the ambiance is really joyful and fresh after a hot day (yes heat in Ireland I know)
Enjoyed a cappuccino with Carmel along with lemon poppy cake and raspberry pear pie. The service was fast and seating inside adequate as all seating outside was filled.
A warm and friendly welcome from the ladies at Synge Byrne. The cafe was clean and well run. The cakes were light, tasty and moist and they cater to various sensitivities. The staff made the experience so much better!
